The Taste of Oregon’s Old West is the don’t-miss event of the year for Eastern Oregon! Explore the scenic wonders, art and music of the John Day River Territory. Discover the flavors of our local chefs and farms. Learn about our unique tourist destinations. Experience our way of life with guided hikes, bass fishing, horseback rides, horseshoe competitions, live music and more!

Details on the Taste of Oregon’s Old West:

Saturday, September 12, 9am to 5pm
Cottonwood Canyon State Park on Hwy 206 between Wasco and Condon
Free entry
Food and beverages available for purchase (see vendor information below)

 Family friendly activities include pony rides, horseshoeing demonstration, bouncy house, guided hikes at 11AM and 3PM, horseshoe pit, tractor and wagon rides, and fishing  with lessons at 10AM and 2PM.                                                   (everything needed provided for those under 11!)

Musical entertainment provided by “Old Bob” Clarke (cowboy poet and singer) from 10AM to noon and the Wheeler County Ramblers (country/ folk) from 1-5PM.

At this time, we believe an ATM will be available and know that credit cards can be processed for meal tickets. It is best to bring cash with you just in case to cover food/ drink and other vendor purchases.
